BBQ-467569 'KEANALL' GRILL BRUSH 18' - STAINLESS STEEL.GrillMark BBQ-467569 "KEANALL" Grill Brush

Pros:

- Excellent handle is 18" long, strong, and bends upward so you don't bang you hand on anything while brushing.

- Stiff bristles.

Cons:

- The "stainless" steel bristles tufts are too far apart, unlike as shown on the misleading Amazon product photo. (See Customer Images for photo of actual brush head.)When you press the brush down on a Weber cooking grate (in the direction of the wires), the bristles immediately slip between the wires. Thus, it does a terrible job in cleaning the top 1/3 of the grate, where all the BBQ junk is baked on.It works somewhat better if you brush perpendicular to the wires, but then it barely removes the junk down between the wires.Perhaps the brush works OK on something other than a Weber cooking grate, but we didn't need it for that.

- The bristles are strongly attracted to magnets, so it's not clear whether they are actually "stainless steel" as claimed.Perhaps they are a cheaper grade of stainless.

- The scraper notches are much too small for a Weber cooking grate.Using a 1/4" round file, I made them bigger. The problem then is the notches are (still) on the sides of the brush, so you have to slide the handle sideways to scrape, which is awkward. The notches should be on the end so you push the tool back and forth.

Summary:

One minute of product testing by the tool maker would have identified the above design defects.

My advice is to buy some other tool.
