Back in the 50's this was a staple appliance in my parent's house. Previous to microwaves it was used to reheat sandwiches and create great grilled lunches. This is perfect for grilled cheese, ham and cheese, turkey and cheese, cuban's, french toast and all types of grilled items. We even grilled rehydrated onions for White Castle style hamburgers on it! Heats throughly and quickly on both sides and makes for crispy sandwiches without the mess of pans on the stove. Coating on grill wipes clean with a rags. Flat surface heating for total contact of food.
