
I researched lots of ways to make a great steak indoors and came upon this awesome website ([...]) that suggests using an all clad stainless steel pan.Instead of purchasing an indoor grill I decided on a great quality pan that can easily be cleaned and put away.Another bonus is that I don't have to worry about the controversial safety issues related to a nonstick coating that might wear off.I have a ceramic stove so I knew that cast iron was not an option even though it is a fine way to cook.This pan is fine quality and the price is more than fair.It distributes heat evenly and is easy to clean.I have read that it is best NOT to use cooking spray on stainless steel. Also, do NOT pour oil into the pan until it has been given sufficient time to heat up.Allow the pan to heat up at a normal rate.In other words, don't try to hasten the pre-heat process by turning the temp to high.Grapeseed oil is a perfect choice when cooking on high temperatures (as is suggested for this recipe).Combining the process described in the above website with this perfectlyengineered pan produced the best steak I have every had in my life.We used smoked sea salt flakes instead of regular sea salt to form the crust.Our family truly preferred steaks cooked this way even more than those we have had at some pretty fine restau]rants that are well known for great steaks!I can't believe I MADE A STEAK AT HOME THAT TASTED THAT AWESOME!!!!Great purchase!Beautiful pan!
